Arcadia Minerals expects the Swanson Mining Project, an advanced tantalum mining project currently under construction, to be in production by Q1/2025.
The Orange River Pegmatite, in which Arcadia owns 49.6% and Hebei Construction 38%, owns the Swanson EPL 5047.
EPL 5047 is in the Karas Region in the southern part of Namibia, some 15 km north of the Orange River.
In its quarterly activities report for the period ended December 31, 2023, Arcadia says they are completing the final design work for the water pipeline, power supply, civil works for the plant, and procurement of processing equipment.
According to the report, Hebei is still working on the road between the Swanson Mine Site and the Plant Site.
Arcadia also owns the Bitterwasser Brines Project, the Bitterwasser Clays Project, the Kum-Kum Nickel Project, and the TVC Lithium and Tantalum Project.
The results of sonic drilling undertaken to discover the Bitterwasser Brines Project, which is prospective for lithium-in-brines, are pending.
A pre-economic assessment for the Bitterwasser Clays Project, prospective for lithium-in-clays, is expected to be conducted to determine high-level economics.
Remote sensing and limited field mapping of 200 pegmatites from the TVC Lithium and Tantalum Project are currently being used for geochemical sampling and mapping to drill prospective pegmatites.
