Noble Venturer heads to Walvis Bay ahead of a two-well exploration contract with Rhino Resources

The Noble Venturer drillship is expected to arrive at Walvis Bay in the next five days to undertake a two-well exploration in the Orange Basin.
It is sailing from Equatorial Guinea.
The drillship will work on Rhino Resources’ two high-impact prospects, which will likely be Volans-1 and Sagittarius-1 on PEL 85, Block 2914A.
Rhino Resources and its partners Namcor at 10% and Korres Investments at 5% are targeting spudding prospects at the end of December 2024.
In October 2024, Azule Energy signed a farm-in agreement with Rhino Resources to acquire 42.5% of PEL 85 with the option of becoming the operator.
Azule Energy is a50/50 bp and Eni Angolan venture.
The drillship is sailing under Singapore’s flag. Her length overall (LOA) is 228 meters, and her width is 42 meters.
