Arkle Resources has appointed London-based mining advisory firm H&P Advisory Limited, better known as Hannam & Partners, as joint broker as the company steps up its uranium exploration activities in Namibia’s Erongo Region.
The appointment, announced on Thursday, comes just months after Arkle entered Namibia’s uranium sector through the acquisition of an 85% interest in Namibia Uranium, a company holding four exclusive prospecting licences in the Erongo uranium province.
Hannam & Partners will work alongside existing joint broker First Equity Limited, while Strand Hanson Limited remains Arkle’s nominated adviser.
Arkle said the move is aimed at expanding its reach among institutional and professional investors as it advances its Namibian uranium programme and broader energy metals portfolio.
In addition to providing broking services, Hannam & Partners will initiate research coverage of Arkle, providing investors with greater visibility into the company’s exploration activities and growth plans.
The appointment signals Arkle’s intention to strengthen its profile within the investment community at a time when global interest in uranium projects is increasing amid renewed demand for nuclear energy.
Interim chief executive officer Rory Harding said the company viewed the appointment as an important step in supporting its next phase of growth.
“We are pleased to welcome Hannam & Partners as joint broker. They are very well respected in natural resources broking and research, and their appointment, alongside the continued support of First Equity, comes at an important time as we accelerate our uranium exploration in Namibia,” Harding said.
“Broadening our reach across the institutional and professional investor community, supported by regular research, is a key part of telling the Arkle story to a wider audience.”
The development comes as Namibia continues to attract growing attention from uranium explorers and investors, supported by strong uranium prices and increasing global commitments to nuclear power as part of the energy transition.
Arkle’s Namibian entry was announced in January this year when the company acquired a majority stake in Namibia Uranium. The transaction gave Arkle exposure to four uranium licences covering prospective ground in the Erongo Region, home to some of the world’s largest uranium mines, including Husab, Rössing and Langer Heinrich.
The company has previously described the acquisition as a strategic move to establish a presence in one of the world’s most important uranium-producing jurisdictions.
The appointment of Hannam & Partners is expected to improve Arkle’s access to capital markets and increase awareness of its Namibian exploration portfolio among mining-focused investors, analysts and institutions.
With exploration activity expected to accelerate, the company appears to be laying the groundwork for future funding and development opportunities as it seeks to unlock value from its uranium assets in Namibia.
