Midas Minerals has intercepted 51.4 metres at 2.18% copper equivalent and 61 metres at 1.95% copper equivalent at the T-13 deposit within its Otavi Copper Project in Namibia as the company advances drilling toward a planned resource upgrade later this year.
Hole T13DD015 returned 51.4 metres at 2.18% copper equivalent from 269 metres, containing 1.68% copper and 26.6 g/t silver.
The interval included seven metres at 3.24% copper equivalent from 271 metres, 13 metres at 2.89% copper equivalent from 291 metres and five metres at 5.11% copper equivalent from 312 metres containing 4.32% copper and 41.8 g/t silver.
Another infill hole, T13DD019, intersected 61 metres at 1.95% copper equivalent from 282 metres with 1.53% copper and 22.2 g/t silver.
The hole included 15 metres at 2.42% copper equivalent from 285 metres, 10 metres at 2.51% copper equivalent from 304 metres, and 7 metres at 4.03% copper equivalent from 328 metres, containing 3.34% copper and 36.3 g/t silver.
Final assay results from previously reported holes also confirmed exceptionally high-grade mineralisation at T-13, including 12.1 metres at 8.88% copper equivalent from 108.9 metres in hole T13DD002. That interval included 9.1 metres at 10.49% copper equivalent containing 7.85% copper and 139.3 g/t silver.
Hole T13DD006 intersected multiple mineralised zones, including 15.7 metres at 3.38% copper equivalent from 130 metres, including 7.2 metres at 6.39% copper equivalent from 138.6 metres containing 4.31% copper and 110.3 g/t silver.
T-13 currently hosts an inferred mineral resource estimate of 10.5 million tonnes grading 1.6% copper and 21 g/t silver, containing 169,000 tonnes of copper and 7.1 million ounces of silver, or 211,000 tonnes of copper equivalent.
Six rigs are currently operating across the Otavi project area, while a seventh rig is expected to arrive before the end of June as drilling expands across T-13, Deblin and Spaatzu.
