Golden Deeps has identified several drilling contractors with suitable rigs to access the hilly sites at the Graceland Critical Metals Prospect in Otavi Mountain Land, where preparations are underway to test below newly defined high-grade surface occurrences.
Final drill site locations will be selected after the completion of a detailed Induced Polarisation (IP) survey and the integration of anomalies with surface rockchip and channel sampling results, alongside detailed topographic data.
Site access and preparation will be undertaken in consultation with the selected contractors once the rig types and availability have been confirmed.
The renewed momentum at Graceland comes after Golden Deeps announced a suite of exceptionally high-grade channel and rockchip results from the Gossan 1 and Gossan 2 outcrops in the Otavi Mountain Land Critical Metals Province.
Channel sampling at Gossan 1 yielded standout results, including 0.5 metres at 31.7% copper, 961 g/t silver, 15.3% zinc, and 79 g/t germanium.
Another channel, A6CL004, produced 0.5 metres at 26.2% copper, 563 g/t silver, 23.5% zinc, 103 g/t germanium and 1,118 g/t antimony.
In addition, the company reported its highest germanium assay so far at 351 g/t in channel A6CL006.
These assays are accompanied by length-weighted intersections such as 3 metres at 11.2% copper, 294 g/t silver, 8.7% zinc and 45 g/t germanium in Channel A6CL003, and 4 metres at 7.1% copper, 178 g/t silver, 10.9% zinc, 3.3% lead and 45 g/t germanium in Channel A6CL004.
Across Gossan 2, broad intersections of zinc with associated lead and germanium were confirmed, including 8 metres at 3.0% zinc with a metre grading 14.6% zinc, 4.6% lead and 44 g/t germanium.
Spectacular rockchip results also bolstered the dataset, with new assays from Gossan 1 East returning 42% copper and 40.9% copper with 154 g/t silver.
Results are still pending from additional channel sampling at Gossan 1 East, which previously produced extraordinary grades of 47.3% copper, 7,792 g/t silver and 224 g/t germanium.
Samples are also outstanding from the Gossan 1 West Extension, a 100-metre strike length with identified copper mineralisation across widths of 3–6 metres.
Golden Deeps CEO Jon Dugdale said the results underscored the potential for a “Tsumeb-style” high-grade sulphide system below the outcropping gossans. “These initial channel sampling results from Graceland have confirmed the exceptional grades of copper, silver and zinc at Gossan 1, as well as the highest germanium grade so far of 351 g/t germanium and antimony to 1,130 g/t Sb,” he said.
The channel sampling results from the outcropping gossan zones have provided initial indications of the widths of high-grade critical metals mineralisation at surface at the Graceland Prospect.
However, the commencing IP survey is crucial in detecting the potential bodies of high-grade critical metals sulphide mineralisation below these eroded surface gossans, akin to Tsumeb’s geological signature.”
The geophysical crew has mobilised to the site to begin the IP-resistivity survey, which will cover the entire 2-kilometre mineralised corridor.
Any anomalies will be modelled to generate three-dimensional drilling targets, to discover subsurface sulphide deposits of copper, silver, zinc, lead and germanium.
Graceland, part of Golden Deeps’ Central Otavi Project, lies in Namibia’s world-class Otavi Mountain Land District.
This region has historically produced some of the world’s richest polymetallic deposits, most notably the Tsumeb mine.
With drill contractors now identified and site planning underway, the company is positioning itself to transition from surface exploration to targeted drilling in the coming months.
