VSA Capital chief executive Andrew Monk is touring mining projects in Namibia this month as the London-based investment banking and broking firm takes a first-hand look at companies operating across the country’s uranium, gold, copper and critical-minerals sectors.

Monk is spending August in Namibia visiting companies and their projects, with VSA identifying Andrada Mining, Arkle Resources, Koryx Copper and Ongwe Minerals as the four companies on the Namibia leg of his tour.

He will also make a short visit to South Africa to meet West Wits Mining.

VSA said Monk’s visit comes as investment returns to African mining, with exploration expenditure on the continent rising 11% to US$1.44 billion in 2025 and investment flows concentrated in a limited number of jurisdictions, including Namibia.

“Andrew Monk wants to find out more and will be spending August in Namibia to find the most exciting mining companies in the region,” VSA said in announcing the visit.

The firm said it would be on the ground meeting the teams behind the projects and publishing interviews and virtual site visits, providing first-hand information and updates from Andrada, Arkle, Koryx and Ongwe.

VSA has specifically invited investors, fund managers and industry partners interested in the companies being visited to follow the tour and engage with Monk and the firm.

Monk has compared the Namibia visit with a similar mining tour he undertook in Mexico last August.

“After my very successful Mexican tour last August where we saw the companies I visited go up significantly afterwards, I’m just as excited about this Namibian tour,” Monk said, promising regular updates from the trip.

VSA is an international investment banking and broking firm whose activities include corporate finance, broking and raising capital for companies, with a significant focus on mining and natural resources.

In Namibia, VSA already has a formal relationship with Andrada Mining, having been appointed joint broker to the London-listed miner on 29 June.

Andrada operates the Uis mine in the Erongo Region and is developing a wider portfolio of critical-mineral assets.

Monk is also visiting Ongwe Minerals, a Namibia-focused gold explorer he had been engaging with before travelling to the country.

He recently interviewed Ongwe chief executive Dave Underwood about the company’s Damara Gold Project, recent surface discoveries and its near-term exploration programme.

Koryx Copper, which is advancing the Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia, and Arkle Resources, which is pursuing uranium exploration in Namibia, complete the four companies identified for the tour.
