Golden Deeps Ltd has stepped up exploration across its Namibian portfolio, launching fresh geochemical programs targeting “Tsumeb-type” polymetallic systems while reporting significant gallium-bearing intersections at its Nosib discovery and expanding into prospective uranium ground near Paladin’s Langer Heinrich Mine.
The company is currently undertaking soil and rock chip sampling in its newly acquired Central Otavi Critical Metals Project, where it holds an 80% interest.
These efforts are centred on target areas showing historical geochemical anomalies with the potential for copper-silver-zinc-lead-germanium-gallium-antimony deposits—mineral signatures characteristic of the famed Tsumeb mine, which historically produced 27 million tonnes at 4.3% copper, 10% lead, 3.5% zinc, 95 g/t silver and 50 g/t germanium.
Golden Deeps first entered Namibia in 2017 through the acquisition of an 80% interest in the Abenab and surrounding EPLs from local vendor Huab Energy (Pty) Ltd.
The company subsequently defined a JORC resource at Abenab of 2.8 million tonnes at 0.66% vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅), 1.25% lead and 0.24% zinc, and undertook metallurgical testwork to evaluate vanadium recovery potential.
At Nosib, early drilling and surface sampling since 2019 revealed a polymetallic profile, leading to the identification of gallium as a significant component following geochemical reviews in 2023 and 2024.
Sampling has commenced at Area 6, east of the Driehoek Zn-Pb-Ag deposit, with samples now en route to Intertek Laboratories in Perth via its Namibian preparation facility. Further campaigns are planned for Area 4, near the Kaskara polymetallic prospect, as well as for Areas 1 and 2, which cover the Khusib Springs and Pavian trends.
A major highlight of the June 2025 quarter was the review of historical underground and drill data from the Nosib Critical Metals discovery within EPL 3543.
This work has confirmed high-grade intersections of gallium oxide (Ga₂O₃) with associated copper, vanadium pentoxide, lead, silver, and elevated values of germanium and antimony from near-surface depths.
Notable intersections include 23 metres at 135 g/t Ga₂O₃, 1.83% copper, 1.91% V₂O₅, 7.3% lead, and 6.7 g/t silver from surface in hole NOUG0020; and 15 metres at 128 g/t Ga₂O₃, 2.22% copper, 1.19% V₂O₅, 8.42% lead, and 6.0 g/t silver with 332 g/t antimony in hole NSBDD008.
A five-metre interval in hole NOUG0006 returned 155 g/t Ga₂O₃ with 1.23% copper, 1.32% V₂O₅, and 220 g/t antimony, including a one-metre section grading 538 g/t Ga₂O₃ and 588 g/t antimony.
A bulk surface sample collected earlier for metallurgical testing returned 102 g/t Ga₂O₃, 8.75% copper, 1.7% lead, and 27 g/t silver.
Golden Deeps plans further metallurgical testwork to refine the recovery of gallium, germanium, and antimony—elements that were not optimised in previous gravity-focused test programs.
The company has secured two-year renewals for key tenements EPL3543 and EPL5496 through May 2027. These licences host Golden Deeps’ known resources at Abenab, Nosib, and Khusib Springs.
The company aims to progress these projects to the pre-feasibility stage to support future mining lease applications.
In a diversification move, Golden Deeps—through its subsidiary Huab Energy—has lodged applications for three EPLs south of the Langer Heinrich mine.
These areas exhibit characteristics similar to the calcrete-hosted uranium systems at Langer Heinrich, which holds a historical resource of 72.3 million tonnes at 0.06–0.07% U₃O₈.
The applications target paleochannels identified through satellite imagery and are pending approval.
