Alfred H. Knight has played a pivotal role in supporting Namibia’s mining and agricultural industries over the past decade.
The global leader in inspection, testing and consultancy services established its presence in Namibia in 2014.
With strategic hubs in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz, Alfred H. Knight Namibia offers comprehensive support to the mining industry, encompassing local production, processing, and international trade.
Its services cover critical compliance areas, including weighing, sampling and moisture determination for mineral concentrates, radiation monitoring, and vessel loading supervision.
The company also conducts Flow Moisture Point (FMP) and Transportable Moisture Limit (TML) testing to help organisations meet international shipping requirements.
In the agricultural sector, Alfred H. Knight Namibia supports traders and processors in verifying the quantity, quality, and traceability of their products, including grains, oilseeds, and feedstuffs, thereby helping to ensure contract compliance, strengthen supply chain integrity, and build trade confidence across Southern Africa.
The 10th anniversary of Alfred H. Knight Namibia coincides with a pivotal time, marking the Alfred H. Knight Group’s strategic acquisition of Grinding Solutions Limited (GSL).
This milestone not only reflects a decade of steady growth and operational excellence in Namibia but also signals a new chapter of expanded capability.
GSL’s globally respected expertise in mineral processing and metallurgical consultancy will significantly enhance Alfred H. Knight Namibia’s service offering, particularly in metallurgical test work design, process optimisation, and advanced analytical techniques.
The synergy between Alfred H. Knight Namibia’s established presence in the country and GSL’s technical depth positions the company to deliver even greater value to its clients, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the evolving needs of the Namibian mining industry.
Alfred H. Knight Country Manager Moses Pius said the 10-year milestone reflects the company’s dedication to quality and the enduring trust of our clients.
Pius said over the years, Alfred H. Knight developed local expertise, strengthened our capacity, and supported trade operations vital to Namibia’s economic growth. “We’re incredibly proud of our role in upholding compliance, accuracy, and consistency in the mining and agricultural sectors,” Pius said.
Alfred H. Knight Africa and Middle East Regional General Manager Maxime Francois said the company’s growth is a testament to its commitment to operational excellence and local engagement.
“By providing world-class inspection and testing services, we help our clients manage risk and maintain quality at every stage of the supply chain. We look forward to continued success in Namibia and further regional expansion,” Francois said.
Alfred H. Knight Namibia stated that it remains committed to investing in people, technology, and infrastructure to support long-term client success and contribute to Namibia’s continued growth as a trusted exporter.
