Snow Lake Resources has started phase 2 drilling at the Engo Valley Uranium Project in Namibia.
The Engo Valley Uranium Project is an exploration stage project on the Skeleton Coast.
The phase 2 drill program comprises up to 7,500 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling, including plans to test several additional targets in the north and south parts of the project.
The program will provide a drill database sufficient to calculate a maiden uranium mineral resource estimate by SK-1300.
Snow Lake Resources has scheduled completion of the maiden mineral resource estimate during the second half of 2025.
Snow Lake Resources CEO Frank Wheatley says the phase 2 drill program objectives are to complete sufficient drilling to allow for the calculation of a maiden resource estimate at Engo Valley during the second half of 2025.
Wheatley says the global supply deficit of uranium will continue to increase as the world expands its nuclear energy production capacity.
He further says with new uranium mines needed to meet this demand, programs like Engo Valley Uranium Project’s Phase 2 drill program are essential to prove potential new economic sources of primary uranium. “With Namibia being the third largest global uranium producer, we look forward to a successful Phase 2 drilling campaign at Engo Valley in Namibia,” Wheatley says.
