Arcadia Minerals plans to conduct a 1,000-metre reverse circulation drilling program at the Gamikaubmund prospect within the Karibib Copper-Gold Project.
This comes after the company identified three skarn-type gold and copper mineralised calc-silicates at the Gamikaubmund prospect in the Erongo Region.
The program, consisting of 15 holes, targets the outcrop area to ascertain the extent of mineralisation to depth and to drill induced polarization geophysics targets that could confirm strike extensions of the Gamikaubmund Prospects.
Arcadia Minerals also discusses potential project-level exploration earn-in for the Karibib Copper-Gold Project.
The Gamikaubmund prospect on Farm Ukuib 84 is within the Karibib Copper-Gold Project, which Arcadia holds under its subsidiary, the Karibib Pegmatite Exploration.
The Karibib Project, under EPL 4663, is close to Navachab Gold Mine, Twin Hills Gold Discovery and the Kokoseb Gold Project.
The prospect is divided into the Gamikaubmund South, Central and North.
The interpretation of the results indicates the average grade of 0.89 gold per ton with the highest value of 3.93, 5.43% copper with the highest value of 28.4% and 63.09 silver at the highest value of 453.
Arcadia Minerals announced grab sampling assay results of 57 rock chip samples of outcropping mineralisation taken over a northeast-southwest trending 2 kilometres wide and 20 kilometres long in September 2021.
The company says although mineralisation was encountered over narrow intercepts, the results were very encouraging.
Historically, Goldfields conducted geological mapping and sampling over the Gamikaubmund prospect in 1984.
