The Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme (NGH2P) appointed Jona Musheko as its new external affairs and communications manager, effective October 3, 2024.
This appointment is a vital part of the program’s strategy to strengthen its communications efforts as it leads Namibia’s push to become a global green hydrogen hub. Musheko brings nearly a decade of professional experience, having demonstrated exceptional communication skills at the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform.
His distinguished track record includes being named the 2nd Best Public Relations Officer in Government, reflecting his ability to manage public engagement effectively and forge strategic relationships.
In addition to his practical experience, Musheko holds an Honors Degree in Linguistics Studies in English and an Honors Degree in Communication.
He is completing a master’s degree in marketing at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), showcasing his ongoing commitment to advancing his professional skills.
As Manager for External Affairs and Communications, Musheko will implement the NGHP’s Stakeholder and Communications Strategy. His role will involve strengthening the program’s visibility and acting as the primary liaison between the NGH2P and its local and global stakeholders.
This appointment reflects NGH2P’s commitment to amplifying Namibia’s leadership in the green hydrogen sector as part of the country’s broader sustainability and economic development objectives.
