Cazaly Resources is preparing to start drilling in the Kaoko Lithium Project during the September 2024 quarter.
The company received its renewed environmental clearance certificate during the June 2024 quarter.
It also received forest, tourism, and tree-clearing permits during the same quarter.
The Kaoko Lithium Project is in
Northern Namibia.
A large amount of lithium is in the soil anomaly at the Ohevanga Prospect, which measures 12 km by 10 km.
The anomaly was defined with broadly spaced surface samples collected across a 1 km grid, followed by infill surface sampling to determine and confirm the target.
A drilling program has been formulated to test the large lithium anomaly at Ohevanga.
Initially, 1,200 m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling will be conducted to test and characterize the anomaly across the target area with the highest surface lithium results
The application for a new exploration licence, EPL 9110, Abenab North, remains pending
approval.
The license covers about 790 km2 and is considered highly prospective for base metals and REE mineralization.
The project lies in the Otavi Mountain Land region, in an area supported by the towns of Tsumeb and Grootfontein.
The region is a significant, well-mineralized base metals province with historic production from several mines, including Tsumeb, Kombat, Abenab, and the Berg Aukas mines.
Tsumeb is a world-famous Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Ge-Cd mine renowned for its wealth of rare and unusual minerals. It was mined from 1897 to 1996.
