Namibia has renewed the Engo Valley Uranium Project EPL 5887 in Namibia, in which Snow Lake Resources has an 85% interest.
Snow Lake is a Canadian clean energy development company listed on Nasdaq.
Its portfolio of clean energy mineral projects includes two hard rock lithium projects, one uranium project in the Snow Lake region of Northern Manitoba, and the Shatford Lake Lithium Project in Southern Manitoba.
The Engo Valley Uranium Project is an exploration stage project in the Skeleton Coast.
Snow Lake Resources announced on Wednesday that the Engo Valley Uranium Project EPL 5887 has been renewed for two years until February 12, 2026.
The Engo Valley Uranium Project EPL 5887, held by Namibia Minerals and Investment Holding, spans an impressive 69,530 hectares, offering a vast canvas for exploration and development.
The EPL has base and rare metals, industrial minerals, non-nuclear fuel minerals, nuclear fuel minerals, precious metals, and precious stones.
Snow Lake Resources acquired the 85% interest on February 21, 2024.
Frank Wheatley, the CEO of Snow Lake Resources, said this extension reflects the Ministry’s confidence in the project’s progress thus far and the proposed future work program.
With this extension, Frank Wheatley, the CEO of Snow Lake Resources, expressed his unwavering optimism, stating, “This extension grants us the flexibility to carry out a comprehensive exploration and development program designed to investigate the Project’s promising geological potential for economic deposits of uranium mineralization.”
