Blue Water Shipping company has opened an office at Walvis Bay due to the increased activities in the solar, wind, hydrogen, oil, gas and mining sectors.
The company said it is expecting to invest significantly in Namibia through local partnerships and further strengthen its presence in other African countries.
The company’s director for energy, ports and projects, Anders Maul, said the expansion in Africa is driven by adding value and maintaining close market reach, aligning with the clients’ needs for a local presence in Africa.
“We are particularly excited about the dynamic development in the region, as well as the recent oil discoveries,” Maul said.
The Blue Water director of Africa for Energy, Ports and Projects, Gerald Povey, is heading the expansion in the region where the company has also opened another office in Cape Town.
Povey said the opening of the offices marks the beginning of an exciting expansion step in a continent full of opportunities for Blue Water.
“I am eager to collaborate with the global offices to strengthen our position in Africa’s transport and logistics industry,” he said.
