One hundred and eighty Tsumeb community volunteers who participated in the clean-up campaign received appreciation hampers from Dundee Precious Metals.
The Tsumeb municipality and Dundee Precious Metals embarked on the clean-up campaign that started in October and ended on 10 November 2023.
Dundee Precious Metals vice president and managing director Zebra Kasete handed over the hampers on Tuesday to recognise the volunteers’ hard work.
Kasete said the clean-up campaign will be extended for another three weeks.
“We donated N$200,000, technical capacity, and the Tsumeb Municipality provided transportation and machinery,” Kasete said.
He encouraged all stakeholders in Tsumeb to join hands in the efforts to sustain the cleanliness of our town.
“A cleaner environment leads to a sustainable and healthy community,” Kasete said.
