Sibeya nominated for Africa Energies Summit 2025 Rising Star Award category

Namcor acting managing director Victoria Sibeya has been nominated for the Africa Energies Summit’s Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award.

The Emerging Leaders Rising Award is part of the Big Five Awards.

Namibia’s petroleum commissioner Maggy Shino and Frontier’s CEO Gayle Meikle will present the awards in London on May 15, 2025.

Sibeya will compete against the ZPRA managing director Mohammed Said, Asilia Energy co-founder Kenneth Mutaonga, ONHYM director of exploration, Asmae Benarchid and PURA director of contracts and licensing Shigela Malosha.

The finalists of the Big Five Awards are peer-nominated to recognises excellence across corporate, regulatory, individual, and community contributions in an industry central to the continent’s economic growth and energy security.
