ReeXploration is preparing the next phase of uranium exploration at its Eureka Project in Namibia after downhole gamma surveys recorded uranium responses in all 11 holes drilled during its first programme, including a 16.7-metre interval averaging 79.2 parts per million equivalent uranium oxide.

The company said the next stage will focus particularly on the area southeast of the Eureka Dome, where stronger uranium responses were encountered in holes SU26-01, SU26-04 and SU26-08. Phase 2 drilling is expected to target leucogranite intrusions and their contacts with surrounding rocks closer to the dome margin.

Before that drilling, ReeXploration plans a high-resolution ground magnetic survey aimed at identifying areas containing greater concentrations of leucogranite and potentially favourable contacts with surrounding host rocks.

The magnetic results will be combined with geological mapping, geochemical information, drill logging and the Phase 1 downhole gamma results to refine targets for the next drilling campaign.

ReeXploration is also trying to obtain original historical exploration records covering shallow uranium occurrences at Eureka. These include drilling, pitting, sampling and mapping data relating to calcrete and gypcrete targets.

The records will be used to verify historical target locations before additional shallow sampling and drilling is planned.

The follow-up programme comes after downhole gamma logging of ReeXploration’s 11-hole, 1,729-metre Phase 1 drilling campaign identified intervals exceeding the company’s 50 ppm eU₃O₈ reporting threshold in every hole.

Seven of the 11 holes recorded readings exceeding 100 ppm.

The strongest broad intersection came from SU26-08, which returned 16.7 metres averaging 79.2 ppm eU₃O₈ from 123.35 metres.

That interval included 1.2 metres averaging 218.2 ppm and another one metre averaging 182.6 ppm. The peak reading within the broader interval reached 333.9 ppm.

Hole SU26-04 returned 4.9 metres averaging 139.7 ppm eU₃O₈ from 80.05 metres, including 4.3 metres averaging 146.3 ppm.

A separate deeper interval in the same hole returned 15.2 metres averaging 66.1 ppm from 170.75 metres. Pasted text

SU26-01 produced one of the highest-grade shorter intervals, returning 1.5 metres averaging 187.3 ppm eU₃O₈ from 138.05 metres, including one metre averaging 242.7 ppm. The peak reading reached 369.2 ppm. Pasted text

ReeXploration said SU26-01, SU26-04 and SU26-08 were drilled from locations as much as approximately 1.3 kilometres apart, giving the company several areas to investigate during follow-up work.

It cautioned, however, that continuity between the intersections has not been established and the dimensions of the mineralisation remain unknown.

The drilling is testing a much larger uranium target identified from government airborne data.

ReeXploration says the high-uranium, low-thorium radiometric anomaly extends approximately 6.5 kilometres by 3.5 kilometres southwest of the Eureka Dome.

The target lies along Namibia’s Alaskite Alley structural corridor, where leucogranite intrusions are associated with major uranium deposits.

Ground radiometric surveys, soil geochemistry and geological mapping conducted before drilling strengthened the targets, while all 11 Phase 1 holes subsequently intersected multiple leucogranite units.

The company now believes Eureka presents two separate uranium exploration opportunities.

The first is uranium associated with leucogranite bodies and their contacts at depth. The second is shallow secondary uranium hosted in calcrete, gypcrete and weathered material.

The shallow target is supported by both the latest gamma logging and historical exploration.

SU26-09 returned 6.5 metres averaging 91 ppm eU₃O₈ from just 1.05 metres depth across calcrete and calc-silicate schist.

SU26-06 included 0.6 metres averaging 143.3 ppm from 1.35 metres within gypcrete. Carnotite, a secondary uranium mineral, has also been recorded in near-surface material at Eureka.

Historical exploration on former EPL 3637 went further.

A 2009 technical report prepared for Valencia Uranium documented a historical estimate of approximately 3.9 million tonnes grading 70 ppm U₃O₈ and containing about 600,000 pounds of U₃O₈ across three portions of the Sukses target.

The estimate was based on pitting and drilling covering about 1.5 million square metres and assumed mineralised thicknesses of between one and two metres.

ReeXploration stressed that the historical figure cannot be treated as a current mineral resource. A qualified person has not completed sufficient work to classify it under current standards, supporting records are incomplete and its precise relationship with the present Eureka licence boundaries still needs verification.

Chief executive Brenan Isabelle said the results had given the company two directions for its next exploration programme.

“The results give us two clear directions for follow-up: the leucogranites and their contacts at depth, and the shallow calcrete system,” Isabelle said.

“With nuclear power expansion driving expectations for higher uranium demand and utilities increasingly focused on securing long-term supplies, there is a strong case for exploring new uranium targets in Namibia.”

The company cautioned that the reported eU₃O₈ figures are radiometric estimates derived from downhole gamma measurements rather than laboratory chemical assays. The reported intervals are also downhole lengths, with true widths yet to be established, and the results do not establish a mineral resource or economic viability.
