Midas Minerals has delivered its highest-grade copper-silver intercept to date at the T-13 deposit in Namibia, returning 50 metres at more than 7.9% copper equivalent from its Otavi Copper Project.
The standout result includes 50m at 5.55% copper and more than 125g/t silver from 194 metres, with a high-grade core of 16.3m at 12.99% copper and 360.2g/t silver, equivalent to 19.81% CuEq.
The results form part of initial assays from nine infill diamond drill holes at the T-13 Copper-Silver Deposit, where multiple high-grade intercepts were recorded, with further copper and silver assays still pending.
Additional results include 43.2m at 2.05% copper and 44.9g/t silver from 218.6m, 12.1m at 6.59% copper and more than 99.5g/t silver, and 15.5m at 4.32% copper and more than 53g/t silver.
Several holes also returned multiple high-grade intervals within broader mineralised zones, with some samples still awaiting re-assay due to over-limit silver results.
Midas said the latest batch of assays represents the highest-grade results yet reported from T-13 and confirms strong continuity of high-grade copper and silver mineralisation across the deposit.
Managing director Mark Calderwood said the infill drilling campaign is strengthening confidence in the scale and quality of the resource.
“Having delivered an initial inferred mineral resource at T-13 of 10.5 million tonnes at 2.0% copper equivalent, our initial infill drilling is demonstrating excellent continuity for the exceptionally high-grade main zone,” Calderwood said.
“Based on intercepts such as these, I anticipate further infill and extensional drilling to continue at T-13 throughout 2026.”
The T-13 deposit forms part of the broader Otavi Copper Project, where Midas is ramping up exploration activity.
The company said 11 additional drill holes at T-13 are still pending assay, while two diamond drill rigs remain active on the deposit.
Beyond T-13, two reverse circulation rigs are operating at the nearby Spaatzu target, located 12 kilometres west, with plans underway to expand the programme to a total of seven rigs across the project.
Midas also confirmed it is preparing to begin resource drilling at the Deblin Copper-Gold-Silver deposit as part of its broader Otavi exploration strategy.
The company said mineralisation at T-13 is dominated by high-grade copper sulphides, including chalcocite and covellite, with additional occurrences of chalcopyrite, native copper, bornite and malachite.
While most drill holes achieved strong core recovery, the company noted that some high-grade zones will require follow-up drilling using larger core sizes to improve sample integrity.
The latest results reinforce Otavi’s position as one of Namibia’s emerging high-grade copper districts, with Midas targeting resource growth and potential development pathways as drilling continues.
