Noronex Limited is preparing to return to the drill rig in Namibia before the end of the year, following completion of this year’s exploration programme, with the company planning a 2,500-metre drilling campaign across three priority copper targets in the Kalahari Copper Belt.

The programme, scheduled to begin during the December 2026 quarter, will focus on the Fortuna, Rosy Copper and Humpback South prospects as Noronex steps up exploration across its extensive Namibian licence package.

The drilling will form part of a broader 3,000-metre programme being undertaken with earn-in partner South32, with the remaining 500 metres planned for the Cgae Cgae Project in Botswana.

The announcement follows the completion of Noronex’s latest exploration campaigns, which produced encouraging results from both its uranium and copper projects in Namibia.

At the Powerline Copper Project, the company received the final assay results from a 7,112-metre reverse circulation drilling programme, confirming that copper-silver mineralisation is concentrated along the D’Kar-Ngwako Pan Formation contact, the geological horizon that hosts many of the Kalahari Copper Belt’s known deposits.

Better intersections included 28 metres grading 0.30% copper and 26 grams per tonne silver from 169 metres at Zambinda South and 6 metres grading 0.36% copper and 38 grams per tonne silver from 147 metres at Qembo North.

The company also reported encouraging first-pass uranium results from its Etango North Project in central Namibia, where maiden drilling confirmed a broad uranium-bearing system within the country’s main hard-rock uranium district.

Intersections included 4 metres grading 270 parts per million U₃O₈ from 78 metres and 7 metres grading 130 parts per million U₃O₈ from 61 metres.

Noronex Chief Geologist Tony Chisnall said the maiden drilling had confirmed the company’s exploration model.

“The receipt of laboratory assay results from our maiden RC drilling program is an important milestone because it confirms that Etango North hosts a broad uranium-bearing system within the same style of alaskite intrusions that host several of Namibia’s major uranium deposits.

While this was deliberately designed as a first-pass scout drilling program rather than to delineate economic mineralisation, the results are very encouraging and show that our geological model is working.”

Noronex controls more than 9,500 square kilometres of exploration ground in Namibia and said exploration budgets for the 2026/27 field season have now been approved with South32, paving the way for the next phase of drilling across its priority copper targets later this year.
