Frontier Nuclear and Minerals says it remains on course to publish the maiden mineral resource estimate for its Engo Valley Uranium Project in Namibia during the third quarter of 2026, marking the next major milestone as the company advances one of the country’s emerging uranium exploration projects.
The update is contained in Frontier’s June 2026 quarterly report, which identifies the maiden mineral resource estimate as the immediate priority following the completion of extensive exploration work undertaken over the past two years.
The company said additional drilling is also planned after the initial resource estimate to expand the project’s resource base, indicating that exploration at Engo Valley will continue beyond the first resource declaration.
Frontier owns an 85% interest in the Engo Valley Uranium Project, which occupies an extensive land package of about 68,283 hectares along Namibia’s Skeleton Coast in the Kunene Region.
The project is covered by a single Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL), which the company said is currently in the process of being renewed.
According to the report, exploration has accelerated significantly since 2024.
Frontier completed a RadonX cup survey across the licence area, which covers about 139 square kilometres, before undertaking two phases of reverse circulation and diamond drilling during 2025 to define uranium mineralisation.
The company noted that South African mining house Gencor previously explored the Engo Valley project during the 1970s, but modern exploration techniques and drilling have substantially advanced understanding of the uranium system.
Frontier highlighted Namibia’s position as one of the world’s leading uranium producers as part of the investment case for the project, noting that the country currently ranks as the world’s third-largest producer of uranium oxide, accounting for about 12% of global production behind Kazakhstan and Canada.
The report also points to Namibia’s mining history spanning more than 120 years, covering uranium, zinc, graphite and gold.
The forthcoming maiden mineral resource estimate will provide the first internationally reported indication of the size and grade of the uranium mineralisation identified at Engo Valley and will form the basis for planning future drilling and evaluating the project’s development potential.
