Koryx Copper has reported one of its strongest intersections yet at the Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia, with drill hole HM90 returning 110 metres at 0.70% copper from surface, including a standout 36 metres at 1.42% copper and a peak of 3%.
The 417-metre hole averaged 0.33% copper overall, making it the widest continuous zone above 1% copper encountered to date at Haib.
CEO Heye Daun described the result as “very significant,” highlighting the potential for a near-surface, high-grade starter pit along east-west structures in the Target 2 area near the Volstruis River.
“This area is opening up as a compellingly prospective target with much higher grade,” he said.
In a parallel development, mines ministry approved the renewal of Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 3140 for two more years, extending tenure until July 2027.
Koryx has also lodged its mining licence application, backed by updated technical studies and a development strategy.
An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment is underway, with submission planned for 2026.
Daun said the dual developments — a high-grade drill hit and strengthened mineral rights — both de-risk Haib and advance it toward the critical permitting stage.
