Bezant secured a fundraising round of £560,000 (approximately N$13.2 million) in early 2025 to finance further project advancement and corporate requirements at its Hope & Gorob copper-gold project in Namibia—shares were issued in lieu of fees to directors and consultants to support pre-development stages.

This capital injection followed significant progress at the Hope & Gorob copper-gold project in Namibia, where the company holds a 70 percent interest through its subsidiary, Hope Namibia Mineral Exploration (Pty) Ltd.

Located within EPL 5796 in the mineral-rich Erongo Region, the project is now fully permitted.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy granted the Environmental Clearance Certificate in June 2025 and subsequently issued Mining Licence ML 246, valid until March 2040.

Bezant’s Hope & Gorob project contains an estimated 15 million tonnes of JORC-compliant Indicated and Inferred mineral resources, with approximately 190,000 tonnes of copper at an average grade of 1.42 percent.

The Hope deposit itself holds around 4.2 million tonnes at a higher grade of 1.7 percent copper, accounting for 28 percent of total resource tonnage and 37 percent of contained copper.

A 2024 mine scoping study confirmed the project’s viability, outlining a seven- to nine-year operational plan.

This includes a five-year open-pit mining phase followed by four years of underground mining at the Hope deposit. Projected production stands at 480,000 tonnes per annum from open-pit operations and 220,000 tonnes per annum from underground extraction of higher-grade ore.

To complement its mining strategy, Bezant finalised letters of intent in 2024 with contractors for mine development, plant construction, and an off-grid renewable energy solution.

These include a dry ore sorting facility to enhance processing efficiency and reduce water consumption. Engineering groups with a Namibian presence have been lined up to provide on-the-ground infrastructure and support services.

Bezant’s advancement of Hope & Gorob positions it as a future medium-scale copper-gold producer in Namibia.

With funding secured, permits granted, and technical studies validated, the company is moving into pre-construction and implementation phases, with the aim of contributing to Namibia’s expanding portfolio of copper assets in the coming years.
