Noronex has contracted with Kodo Drilling, an experienced Namibian drilling contractor, to drill 2,000 metres of diamond drilling at Fiesta and surrounding prospects.

Fiesta is part of the 80,000ha Dorwit Project in Namibia’s Omaheke region, which has a current JORC (2012) resource of 10 Mt @1.3% Cu.

The Fiesta Project lies on the western closure of a domal structure at the prospective NPF-D’Kar contact on the Kalahari Copper Belt.

The Project extends over 4.5km with recent intercepts2 of 45m @ 1.0% CuEq; 30m @ 1.1% CuEq and 16m @ 1.3% CuEq.

The anomalous intercepts reported previously appear to have many hallmarks of the deposits defined in Botswana over 400km to the east, including the Khoemacau Copper Project (370Mt @ 1.7% CuEq, owned by MMG).

The drilling will test at depth under known mineralisation and for extensions along strike, while also obtaining detailed structural information on the controls, style and orientation of the various mineralised phases.

Although the rains have delayed the start of drilling and complicated the mobilisation process, Noronex’s in-country team has trammed the rig to the site and prepared it for drilling.

The process has been expedited because the first two holes will be re-entries of previous reverse circulation drill holes, allowing testing directly below known mineralisation.

Noronex’s exploration package on the Namibian side covers ~10,000 km2 of the highly prospective Kalahari Copper Belt – one of the world’s last under-explored large-scale copper frontiers.

South32 has an earn-in agreement that could earn 60% by spending US$15 million over five years.

Noronex appointed a highly experienced mining executive, Victor Rajasooriar, as Managing Director and CEO, effective 19 May 2025.

The appointment follows an extensive executive search process aimed at finding a suitably qualified candidate to drive the company’s next stage of growth in the Kalahari Copper Belt in southern Africa, where it has established an extensive, high-quality portfolio and secured a Strategic Alliance with global miner South 32 Limited (ASX: S32).

A qualified mining engineer, Rajasooriar has 25 years of international experience in the worldwide mining industry and has been an MD, CEO and COO of various Australian-listed resource companies.

His extensive operating and management experience includes a range of senior roles with global miner Newmont, including as Chief Mining Engineer for Newmont in North America and Operations Support Manager for KCGM in Kalgoorlie, as well as senior management roles with Gold Fields and Grange Resources.
