A report compiled by Sound Mining International Limited suggests a potential 2.4 MT of run-of-mine plant feed at a copper grade of 1.25% Cu and a gold grade of 0.25 g/t Au. for Hope & Gorob.

The Hope Cooper-Gold project under EPL 5796, measuring 345 km2, is in the Erongo Region.

Bezant Resources acquired 100% of Virgo Resources Ltd. and its interests in the Hope Copper-Gold Project in Namibia in June 2020.

The project also includes EPLs 6605 (570 km2) and 7170 (310 km2), which cover an area of approximately 1,200 km2.

Bezant Resources commissioned Sound Mining International Limited, an independent consultancy firm, to generate a technical report focusing on the near-term development of the Hope deposit, where mining and processing are expected to commence.

The report estimates a 5-year open pit operation at a production rate of 480 ktpa.

It also estimates that an operating cost of US$50.80 per ton RoM is equivalent to an indicative cost per tonne of contained copper in concentrate of US$5,020.

According to the report, the Hope deposit underground mineral resource could be 0.9 Mt RoM at a copper grade of 2.04% Cu and a gold grade of 0.48 g/t Au, providing a further 4-year life of mine potential at a production rate of 220 ktpa.

The preliminary mine design and production schedule at the Gorob and Vendome Deposits indicates a further 1.01 Mt RoM potential at a copper grade of 1.28% Cu and an additional 2 years of planned production at 480 ktpa.

On October 16, 2024, the company announced that it had received the notice of preparedness for the granting of mining licence 246 for the Hope & Gorob copper-gold mining project.

The company has now submitted the written acceptance and is awaiting the formal statutory approval.

The mining license is subject to standard terms and conditions under the Minerals Act.

In particular, she is undertaking an environmental impact assessment, formulating an environmental management plan report for the Ministry of Environment and Tourism approval within six months of the issue of the mining license, and ensuring the representation of historically disadvantaged Namibians.

Bezant is working actively to meet these requirements.
