Deep-South Resources is expecting two drills for its program at the Haib Copper Project in the south of Namibia.

The first drill is expected on site on or about 10 November, while the second one could arrive around 15 November 2023.

The Canadian company wants to complete drilling 10,000 metres as planned before the mines ministry denied the licence renewal, resulting in one of the longest-running court cases.

The mines ministry renewed the licence on 7 July 2023.

When the program was interrupted, Deep-South had drilled 5,000 metres in 2021, and now they have hired Ferrodrill Namibia to complete the other 5,000 metres.

Deep-South CEO Pierre Leveille is confident in delivering drill results to enhance a robust project and unlock further value for our shareholders.

“With the backdrop of a strong copper price, we are highly optimistic for the coming months. We are well on our way towards developing the Haib Copper project,” Leveille said.
