Aldoro Resources has secured an initial funding commitment of approximately A$21.5 million under a proposed A$429 million investment arrangement with WILLETECH International Investment for the development of its Kameelburg critical minerals project in Namibia.
The company announced on 5 November 2026 that it had entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with WILLETECH, outlining a potential investment of at least 2 billion Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately A$429 million, to be provided in stages.
The agreement includes an initial binding funding commitment of 100 million yuan, equivalent to approximately A$21.5 million, although Aldoro has cautioned that evidence of the investor’s funding availability has not yet been provided.
The proposed investment would significantly change the ownership structure of the Kameelburg project, with Aldoro’s interest in the project company declining from 85% to 42% under the contemplated arrangement.
However, Aldoro’s remaining 42% interest would be free-carried through to production, meaning the company would not be required to contribute further development funding to maintain that stake during the period covered by the arrangement.
The agreement also provides for the reimbursement of approximately A$10 million in historical expenditure incurred by Aldoro on the project, subject to the terms of a final agreement.
The proposed financing represents a potential source of substantial development capital for Kameelburg, although the larger A$429 million investment remains indicative and should not be regarded as fully committed financing.
Aldoro and WILLETECH intend to conclude definitive agreements within 15 business days, during which the parties are expected to formalise the investment structure and associated obligations.
The transaction would allow Aldoro to retain a substantial interest in Kameelburg while transferring much of the project’s future funding responsibility to its proposed investment partner.
The arrangement nevertheless remains subject to the conclusion of definitive agreements and confirmation of funding availability.
The initial A$21.5 million commitment is distinct from the broader proposal for at least A$429 million in staged investment, with Aldoro yet to demonstrate that the full amount will be available for the project.
If concluded and implemented, the proposed transaction would represent a major financing arrangement for Kameelburg, with Aldoro retaining a 42% free-carried interest through to production while WILLETECH provides the proposed development funding.
