Midas Minerals has extended high-grade copper-silver mineralisation westwards at its T-13 deposit in Namibia after new drilling returned 22.6 metres at 6.01% copper equivalent, including a 10-metre section grading 11.55% CuEq.

The results come from infill drilling of the Main Zone at the company’s Otavi Copper Project, where Midas is working towards an updated mineral resource estimate in the first quarter of 2027.

Hole T13DD034 intersected 22.6 metres at 6.01% CuEq from 347.5 metres, comprising 4.67% copper and 70.9 grams per tonne silver.

Within that intersection, Midas recorded 10 metres at 11.55% CuEq from 355.5 metres, containing 8.83% copper and 143.7g/t silver.

The company said the mineralisation encountered in T13DD034 was stronger than anticipated and, importantly, remains open to the west, leaving room for further expansion of the high-grade zone.

A second hole, T13DD030, returned a broader 33.2 metres at 2.51% CuEq from 310.3 metres, comprising 1.96% copper and 29.3g/t silver.

Both holes intersected mineralisation at about 300 metres vertical depth, adding further definition to the deeper portions of T-13.

Managing director Mark Calderwood said the infill programme was showing that the high-grade portion of the Main Zone has stronger continuity than Midas had initially anticipated.

“Infill drilling on the T-13 Main Zone continues to exceed expectations as the high-grade portion of the deposit exhibits stronger continuity than initially anticipated,” Calderwood said.

“Hole T13DD034 extended westerly, delivering further strong silver-rich chalcocite-bornite mineralisation up to 6.01% CuEq over a 22.6m interval, similar to the metal content previously reported in holes T13DD017 (27.1m at 3.98% CuEq) and T13DD021 (30.1m at 5.35% CuEq) and the zone remains open towards the west.”

Calderwood said T13DD030 also exceeded expectations with its 33.2-metre intersection and was among the deeper holes drilled by Midas at T-13.

Midas has completed more than 15,000 metres of core drilling at T-13 since December 2025, with assay results from another 16 holes still pending.

The company is seeking to complete infill drilling over a large part of the deposit before updating the mineral resource estimate in the first quarter of 2027.

T-13 currently has an inferred mineral resource of 10.5 million tonnes grading 1.6% copper and 21g/t silver, containing 169,000 tonnes of copper and 7.1 million ounces of silver.

On a copper-equivalent basis, the existing resource stands at 10.5 million tonnes grading 2.0% CuEq for 211,000 tonnes of contained copper equivalent.

Significantly, that resource is based entirely on drilling undertaken before Midas acquired the project, meaning the company’s more than 15,000 metres of subsequent drilling have yet to be incorporated into the estimate.

The latest results are therefore important because they add evidence of continuity and extension around the existing high-grade Main Zone ahead of the resource update.

The latest programme has concentrated on defining the geometry and grade continuity of the Main Zone, but Midas is also testing the wider T-13 system.

Limited drilling at the West Zone has already identified strong copper-silver mineralisation, and the company plans further drilling there once infill drilling of the Main Zone is completed.

The fact that T13DD034 encountered stronger-than-anticipated mineralisation at the western margin of the Main Zone is particularly significant because the mineralisation remains open in that direction.

T-13 is one part of Midas’ wider exploration programme across its 1,776-square-kilometre Otavi Project.

Seven rigs are currently operating across the project, while an eighth is expected to arrive this week, increasing drilling capacity as the company works on T-13, Deblin and Spaatzu.

Midas plans to deliver the updated T-13 resource alongside initial mineral resource estimates for Deblin, about 70 kilometres east-southeast of T-13, and Spaatzu, about 11 kilometres from T-13, during the first quarter of 2027.

The programme could therefore give Midas resource estimates for three separate deposits within its Otavi portfolio by early next year.

“We are continuing to accelerate drilling at Otavi, as we look to update the T-13 initial MRE, which only included drilling completed prior to our acquisition, as well as delivering initial MREs for the Deblin and Spaatzu deposits,” Calderwood said.

“We also have various priority drilling targets identified to follow up across our 1,776km2 Otavi Project land package.”

Midas owns 100% of the 1,776-square-kilometre Otavi Project and says modern exploration has covered less than 40% of the tenure.
